Your responsibilities
Ensure the activities related to Automation & control Solutions and Drives engineering and commissioning for the allocated marine system projects efficiently and in cost effective executed manner in accordance with contract specifications, quality & safety requirements. System to be delivered includes Power and Energy Management System (PEMS), Energy Storage System (ESS), Drive Control Unit (DCU) and Integrated Alarm Monitoring system & Control System (IAMCS).
Provide technical inputs to Sales team & review Systems technical proposals based on the requirements specified in customer specification.
Support project manager in planning, purchase, organizing the hardware & Software FAT, issuing claims (cost impact and time impact for new work scope / change request) & delivery completion.
Define project tasks and ensures allocation of these tasks among project team members. Creates work plan and cost estimates for the assigned projects and proactively manage the work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and agreed cost.
: Evaluates the risk and opportunities management for the assigned projects. Supports the Project Manager in overall project risk and opportunity assessments, and implementation of resulting actions. Integrated Testing Plan (ITP) process to be followed.
Collaborates with Project Manager / Procurement team to ensure that the technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed with potential suppliers. Provides technical evaluation of supplier proposals.
Collaborate within the engineering team, commissioning team and externally. Shares best practice across different projects for Marine Automation & control and Drive Solutions engineering.
Follow the standard processes, tools and techniques for marine Projects & provide inputs for improving the tools.
Your background
Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical.
Experience in 800xA, AC800M & AC500 application configuration & coding knowledge.
Power management system and Power system knowledge & experience.
Various communication protocol standard knowledge and on-site comms establishment experience. (Modbus, PROFIBUS, NMEA & CANBUS)
Drive engineering & commissioning knowledge includes Application programming, Parameterization, commissioning of drives with different mode of controls. (AC, DC, Torque modes etc.)
Site commissioning & handling customer on site experience are vital.
