Job Profile/Description
Delivery of effective AV outputs with clarity and impact on the target audience is important and one of the key growth drivers for any communication agency. AV creator and editor play a crucial role in the post-production process of films and videos by digitizing and organizing raw footage into polished pieces suitable for target audiences. The typical work activities are, but not limited to, the followings:
• Receiving a brief, and maybe an outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay;
• Study the inputs to become familiar with the production concepts and requirements,
• Assembling all raw footage, with camera shots either recorded or transferred, onto video tape in preparation for inputting into the computer;
• Inputting uncut rushes and sound, and synchronizing and storing them into files on the computer;
• Digitally cutting the files to put together the sequence of the film and deciding what is usable;
• experimenting with styles and techniques including the design of graphic elements;
• Suggesting or selecting music.
• Edit films and videotapes to insert music, dialogue, and sound effects, to arrange films into sequences, and to correct errors, using editing equipment.
• Correcting faulty footage, grading and colouring, and adding special effects.
• Creating a ‘rough cut’ (or assembly edit) of the programme/film and determining the exact cutting for the next and final stages;
• Reordering and tweaking the content to ensure the logical sequencing and smooth running of the film/video.
• Program computerized graphic effects.
Other/Special RequirementsKey Skills : 1) Detaisl oriented 2) Able to sort out technical problems 3) Proficient in Final Cut Pro (FCP) 4) Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight guidelines 5) Proficient working knowledge of Still and Moving imaging software 6) Able to control operations of equipment and systems.
Qualifications:1 ) Graduate or Post Graduate (Any diploma on Digital Media Production preferred) 2) Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills and organisational skills 3) Creative with Originality 4) Confident, well-organized and self-motivated,
